WASHINGTON — Today, HRC’s Equality Votes PAC launched a new website – DismantleProjectcom – that details how Project , the blueprint for an unprecedented government takeover by a Trump-Vance administration, would threaten the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQ+ community, sending the country’s march toward full equality back decades. The website breaks down how the Trump-Vance Project agenda harms LGBTQ+ people in every area of our lives–from marriage, to building a family, to healthcare, to education and the workplace. The website will be supported by a digital campaign on HRC’s social media channels, in addition to videos where HRC’s Senior Director of Legal Policy Cathryn Oakley answers questions on Project posed by members of HRC’s online community

Project could have a significant effect on the LGBTQ+ community during Donald Trump's second term, if he is reelected in November.

The page document, produced by the Conservative consider tank the Heritage Foundation, was designed as a road map for a conversative president. It proposes an overhaul of the federal government and includes a plan to fire government workers.

Experts have highlighted a wide range of policies in the project that would affect LGBTQ+ individuals.

Trump has attempted to distance himself from the project, writing on social media in July, "I know nothing about Project " Earlier this month, he repeated his statement on Lex Fridman's podcast, adding that he "purposefully" hadn't read it.

A spokesperson for Project did not respond to a request for comment for this article.
